Withdrawal of Manuscript

Withdrawal of Manuscript

Journal Elections and Political Parties (JEPP) understands that authors may need to withdraw their manuscripts due to various reasons. However, we encourage authors to carefully consider their decision before submission to avoid unnecessary delays in the publication process.

Withdrawal Procedure

Authors wishing to withdraw their manuscript must follow these steps:

  1. Submit a formal withdrawal request via email to the Managing Editor in Contacts.
  2. The request must include the manuscript ID, title, and a valid reason for withdrawal.
  3. The editorial team will review the request and confirm withdrawal within 7 working days.

Acceptable Reasons for Withdrawal

  • Significant errors discovered post-submission.
  • Unforeseen ethical concerns.
  • Manuscript submitted to JEPP by mistake.
  • Failure to comply with publication ethics or duplicate submissions.

Penalties for Unethical Withdrawal

Unethical withdrawal—such as pulling a manuscript after acceptance for submission elsewhere—may result in:

  • Blacklisting the author for future submissions.
  • Notification sent to the author’s institution.
  • Additional processing fees if the manuscript has entered the review stage.

Important Notes

Authors should consider manuscript withdrawal only in exceptional cases. Frequent withdrawals may impact the credibility of future submissions.
