Abstract

This community service was conducted by the service team from the Political Science Study Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara, aimed at providing training in nationality and civic education for educators at Perguruan Baiti Jannati, Tanjung Morawa. Established in 2022, the school faces challenges due to the limited number of educators and their non-linear academic backgrounds. This service sought to equip educators with the skills to effectively deliver nationality and civic education to students. The service applied a continuing education approach by offering non-formal training tailored to the specific needs of the institution. The process involved three stages: preparation through surveys and need assessments at the location, implementation through educational training sessions, and completion by producing learning modules. The activity was successfully conducted, marked by the enthusiasm of the participants and their enhanced understanding of the importance of nationality and civic education. Additionally, the training facilitated the formation of a module development team among the educators. This initiative is expected to inspire similar efforts in other educational institutions across Indonesia, fostering a broader understanding of nationality and civic education among educators and students alike.
